Duties Review medical records and documentation to accurately assign

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

codes, and DRG classifications for billing purposes Prepare and submit insurance claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with payer requirements Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies, including resubmission and appeals Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to billing Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim statuses, and patient account information Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures requiring precise medical coding Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, coding standards, and billing regulations to ensure ongoing compliance Requirements Proven experience in medical billing with familiarity in medical office operations and records management Strong knowledge of

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
