Full-time with comprehensive benefits package We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong knowledge of billing processes, coding standards, and insurance claim follow-up, particularly in a private practice setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily coding and charge entry Post payments (electronic and manual) accurately Identify and appeal denied claims promptly Conduct A/R follow-up on aged claims, including direct communication with insurance carriers Respond to correspondence received through the billing system, email, and fax Address internal and external billing inquiries professionally and timely Prepare insurance and patient refunds as needed Recommend accounts for transfer to collections and/or bad debt write-off Support benefits investigations, prior authorizations, and pre-determinations

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in professional billing within a private practice setting Experience with Medent Practice Management software preferred Strong understanding of

CPT, ICD-10

coding, modifier usage, and medical terminology Advanced knowledge of claim content, submission guidelines, and local insurance carriers Prior billing/coding experience in one or more of the following specialties is highly desirable:
