Position Overview Retina Associates of Cleveland is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Team Lead for our Beachwood Office to oversee the daily operations of our billing department within a high-volume retina specialty practice. The Revenue Cycle Team Lead oversees the daily operations of the billing department for a high-volume retina specialty practice. This role serves as a working lead, providing day-to-day guidance and support to the billing team while maintaining an active workload that includes charge entry, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up. The Billing Team Lead ensures accurate and timely claim submission, effective denial management, and strong overall revenue cycle performance. This role also supervises billing staff, promotes regulatory compliance, and collaborates with providers and leadership to support the financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership, training, and support to billing team members, fostering accountability and professional development Serve as a working team lead, actively performing charge entry, payment posting, and AR follow-up Oversee daily billing operations including charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, and denial management Maintain personal productivity standards while supporting overall team performance Monitor aging reports and implement strategies to reduce denials and improve collections Serve as an escalation point for complex claims, payer issues, and billing inquiries Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer regulations Review coding accuracy (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and address documentation issues as needed Track and report key revenue cycle metrics to leadership Partner with leadership to recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with prior authorization, patient financial services, clinical teams, and front-end staff to resolve claim issues and prevent denials Qualifications 3-5 years of medical billing experience required 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role preferred Experience in ophthalmology or specialty practice billing strongly preferred Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management and payer guidelines Proficiency with practice management and EHR systems Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills Why Join Retina Associates of Cleveland?
