Job Description

Mighty Oak Christian Counseling, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Billing & Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. This position will work collaboratively with the Office Manager and play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the practice through effective billing, denial management, appeals, and revenue cycle oversight. Position Details
  • Part-time, 20 hours per week

    $20
  • 25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Increased compensation consideration for candidates with credentialing experience Primary Responsibilities
  • Follow up on denied and rejected insurance claims
  • Investigate claim issues and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare, submit, and track insurance appeals
  • Manage accounts receivable and aging reports
  • Monitor and improve revenue cycle performance
  • Identify billing trends and recommend solutions to reduce denials and maximize reimbursement
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed
  • Post payments and reconcile accounts
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, appeals, and payment issues
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager to support practice operations and financial goals Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or medical billing
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance and Medicaid billing
  • Demonstrated success with appeals, denial management, and claims follow-up
  • Experience with revenue cycle management and accounts receivable recovery
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a part-time role Credentialing Experience Highly Preferred Candidates with experience in:
  • Provider credentialing and recredentialing
  • CAQH profile management
  • Insurance panel enrollment
  • Provider enrollment and contracting
  • Maintaining payer credentialing requirements will receive special consideration.
Compensation may be adjusted within the posted range based on demonstrated credentialing expertise and experience.
