Job Description
Pathway Caring for Children is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Billing & Collections Specialist to support our behavioral health services. This role is responsible for medical billing, insurance claims processing, and client collections, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and consistent follow-up on outstanding balances. This position requires professionalism and confidence when communicating with clients regarding payment expectations, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams. Key Responsibilities Process medical billing and insurance claims Follow up on outstanding balances and manage collections Review and correct denied or rejected claims Post insurance payments (EOBs/ERAs) and reconcile accounts Maintain accurate billing records and documentation Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff Work Environment On-site position based in the Central Office (Canton, OH) 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collections Knowledge of insurance billing, EOBs, and clearinghouses Experience with EHR systems preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and follow-through
