Exempt (salary) Who We Are Telesis Technologies Inc. is an evolving industrial automation and technology company. We are the original manufacturer of permanent marking and traceability equipment - Telesis is well known in the industry for its robust products and remarkable customer service. Highlighting our Global Reach, Telesis is owned by Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems (HIES), a business unit of Hitachi Ltd. Position Summary Management of Accounts Receivable; both foreign and domestic within accepted accounting practices and principles. Actively manages the Accounts Receivable function that covers activities from credit assessment to collection of funds. Maintain confidentiality of information. Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for generating manuals or system invoices at the time of shipment, as well as submission of invoices via customer's websites.
  • Processes credit card transactions via portal.
  • Ensure that the customer is invoiced accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for entering Accounts Receivable transactions into Syteline. Includes cash application, credit memos, debit memos, and invoicing.
  • Responsible for evaluating and approving credit on all transactions involving the sale of our products and services in accordance with the company's Credit and Collection Policies and Procedures Manual. Credit approval includes both the establishment of credit limits and terms of sale.
  • To maintain a follow-up collection system to ensure payment of accounts according to the terms of sale.
  • Contacts customers regarding outstanding invoices for payment and works with customers, distributors, representatives, and internal Telesis employees to resolve any problems of non-payment.
  • Continually strives to shorten receivable cycle.
  • Continually monitor customer credit limits in accordance with the company's Credit and Collection Policies and Procedures Manual. Maintain customers' credit limits in the Syteline system as necessary.
  • Makes recommendations to the Accounting Manager for customer accounts to be placed for collection with outside agencies.
  • Review incoming PO's for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with the Sales and Shipping Departments the export documentation that accompanies international shipments. Review of all letters of credit and other export insurance methods.
  • Analyzes the A/R Aging Report and reconciles the "Accounts Receivable-Trade" and the "Income Billed Not Earned" accounts to the General Ledger.
  • Assists in the completion of month end closing procedures and preparation of financial statements.
  • Actively participate in the yearly audit.
  • Strict adherence to maintaining the confidentiality of information. Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of accounts receivable, accounting, or related financial experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficient in working collaboratively across departments and interacting effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct at all times.
  • Demonstrates support for Telesis Technologies, Inc. through positive communication and professional actions.
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements of Telesis Technologies, Inc. and Tyden Group.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
