Senior Surgery Biller:
Claim Submission and Processing:
Reviewing medical records, applying appropriate coding, and submitting claims to insurance companies.
Coding Accuracy:
Ensuring accurate coding for surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and other related services.
Insurance Knowledge:
Understanding different insurance plans, their coverage, and reimbursement policies.
Follow-up and Discrepancy Resolution:
Tracking claim status, addressing denials, and resolving billing discrepancies with insurance companies.
Compliance:
Adhering to HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare laws and regulations.
Training and Mentoring:
May be responsible for training or mentoring junior billing staff.
Process Improvement:
Identifying opportunities to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Typically requires several years of experience in medical billing and coding, with a strong understanding of surgical billing.
Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance regulations.
Certifications:
Certifications like CPC, CCS, or other relevant billing and coding certifications are often preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in medical billing software and computer applications.

Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
