Billing Specialist -
Treatment Services Worksite Location:
Hood River or The Dalles Work Schedule:
Part-Time; 15 of hours per week

The Billing Specialist is integral to the operations of the Treatment Services program by using the SimplePractice electronic health records and practice management software and other information to prepare and submit mental health/behavioral health claims, track reimbursements and execute other billing activities. Includes accurate and reliable mental health billing processing, record keeping, credentialing, and fee schedule management. What you will do… Provide accurate billable services and expenditures for assigned program. Credentialing mental health providers and staff Perform ongoing administrative tasks to support Treatment Services program activities. Monitor and troubleshoot prior authorizations requested by mental health therapists. Ensure reports to state and licensure authorities are completed in a timely manner. Cross-train to back up the lead Billing Specialist position. Coordinate with program staff for daily billing on individuals in the program. Review service notes and charting for accuracy and completeness in preparation for insurance billing. Ensure standards for documentation are being met. Monitor reimbursement fee schedules issued by state Medicaid authorities Complete regular documentation audits. Maintain quality assurance systems/processes. Verify client insurance coverage. Required:
Associate degree or equivalent experience Valid driver's license with auto liability insurance 1+ years of experience in healthcare coding & billing or a related field Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
Preferred:
Experience using electronic health records system Experience in mental health care Experience in healthcare front-office roles Benefits Sick Time 401(k) - You are able to participate 1000 hours of service in one year of employment and there is a 5% company contribution after 2 years of employment.
