Job Description
Billing Coordinators have knowledge of billing procedures and should show great attention to detail. Their analytical ability is essential, while their communication skills can make a difference in customer relationships. A person that enjoys analyzing information and using logic to solve problems. You should also be willing to take initiative and enjoy working as part of a team.
Responsibilities Interact with project managers/estimators and other internal departments, as well as subcontractors and customers to provide administrative support and ensure accuracy of paperwork
Cost accounting and / or construction experience is preferred
Monthly Project Draw preparation/progress billing with retention
Comfortable with mathematics and financial data
Great attention to detail
Confidentiality and trustworthiness
Independently manages own work
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Participate in continuing education to advance career in payroll and ensure compliance with most up to date regulations
Assist in the development and continuing improvement efforts to establish Belfor USA Group, Inc and the Payroll Department as World Class in the industry.
Comply with company and department policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards. Requirements Research and gather information necessary to prepare invoice
Perform control functions
Prepare and submit statements
Ensure customers are billed correctly for services offered
Engage in office and administrative work using a computer and a telephone
Heavy emphasis on time and material (force account) cost analysis, which includes research, assembly and review.
Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information
Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required Qualifications High school Diploma, Associates Degree in Business related field
1-2 years of billing experience; preferably within a construction environment.
Must be able to effectively communicate with managers, coworkers, subcontractors, consultants, owners, and customers
Cost accounting and / or construction experience is preferred
Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
Maintain a positive attitude with managers, coworkers, and customers.
Maintain good public relations (interact with the public in a courteous manner) as well as managers and supervisors in the field.
Must be goal oriented, have excellent time management skills, react well under pressure, and follow through on commitments and deadlines
Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent telephone skills.
Ability to work well with others, maintain professional interaction with co-workers and vendors. Physical Demands Occasional lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 0-15% of the time)
Sitting for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
