Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starting individual with exceptional problem-solving skills who thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Experience in medical billing and familiarity with accounting principles are strongly preferred. Duties Accurately prepare, submit, and follow up on medical claims to insurance providers. Resolve claim denials and discrepancies with an analytical and problem-solving approach. Process payments, adjustments, and write-offs while maintaining precise financial records. Review patient accounts for accuracy, ensure proper coding, and verify insurance coverage. Collaborate with other departments to address billing-related inquiries and discrepancies. Generate financial and billing reports for management as needed. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information

Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts receivable and payable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with insurance portals.
