Description The Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the accounts payable function by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounts payable processes. The AP Analyst will work closely with the AP Manager and cross-functional teams to support the company's financial operations and maintain strong vendor relationships. The AP Analyst will report to the AP Manager in Cranberry Township, PA. This is a hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Assist with vendor account set up and vendor account maintenance. Assist in the reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Support the implementation and maintenance of efficient accounts payable processes and controls. Perform accruals and related analysis to support the posting of journal entries. Collaborate with procurement teams to facilitate timely payments to vendors. Process the payment runs for all payment methods. Assist in the preparation and analysis of accounts payable reports, providing insights on payment trends and cash flow. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, as well as adherence to relevant regulations and standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounts payable function. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in accounts payable management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Excel and familiarity with AP software systems. Familiarity with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Experience in the manufacturing or consumer goods industry is a plus.
