SolomonEdwards Position Summary:
We are seeking a Billing Operations Specialist to join a leading financial services organization with operations across North America. This hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity will support billing operations, expense rebill processing, financial data management, and operational process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring advanced Excel expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and experience managing large data sets while ensuring reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties:
- Manage the Out-of-Pocket Expense Rebill process utilizing advanced Excel functions.
- Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets for billing and financial analysis.
- Validate large data sets prior to upload into billing and financial systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve billing discrepancies and improve workflows.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational scalability and efficiency.
- Analyze billing and operational data while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, documentation, and operational support initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with large data sets in billing, accounting, operations, or financial environments required.
- Experience supporting billing systems, expense processing, or financial operations preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas, and conditional logic.
- Experience working with billing systems and financial data management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Travel Requirements:

Salary Range:
SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly rate for this role is up to $36.
