Role:
Billing Specialist Location:
Duluth, GA On-Site (5x a week - Monday-Friday) - 1 work from home day after 90 days of training
Compensation:
$25/hr + monthly bonus eligibility Vaco is currently partnering with a growing construction organization seeking a Billing Specialist. The Billing Specialist supports weekly payroll and customer billing for an assigned territory, ensuring accurate time review, invoice preparation, and contract-based billing compliance. The role also manages updates, tracks equipment, and provides administrative support.
Duties & Job Responsibilities:
Generate weekly invoices for hourly and fixed-price jobs Track job progress and ensure accurate contract-based billing Prepare and process weekly payroll, including time review and HRIS uploads Maintain weekly equipment records and employee updates Support administrative tasks such as filing and mailing documents Apply knowledge of customer contracts (rates, overtime, storm rules, fuel billing, etc.) Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong accuracy and attention to detail Communicate effectively across teams Utilize intermediate Excel skills for reporting and data management
Requirements:
Requires 2+ years of Billing or Invoicing experience and prior payroll experience. Stable job history. Strong organization, communication skills. Intermediate MS Excel skills. Experience with ERPs, CRMs or HRIS software. Bilingual - English/Spanish is preferred. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
