Analyst:
On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Charge Description Master (CDM) Analyst for a contract role. This position is remote and located in Chicago, California, United States. Charge Description Master (CDM) Analyst•
Job Description:
The Revenue Integrity CDM Analyst is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the compliance and integrity of the Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) Charge Description Master (CDM). The role involves researching regulations, implementing revisions for revenue preservation, and collaborating with external vendors for accurate billing. Charge Description Master (CDM) Analyst
  • Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all CDM requests for charge code additions, revisions, and deletions.
  • Monitor and resolve Epic charge review workqueues and billing exceptions.
  • Coordinate with Information Systems to implement approved charge codes in the EHR.
  • Analyze requests for pricing alignment based on vendor strategies and coding compatibility.
  • Research payer regulations to ensure revenue preservation and billing compliance.
  • Implement strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead project-based revenue cycle initiatives and strategic special projects.
  • Contribute to organizational success through additional revenue cycle initiatives. Charge Description Master (CDM) Analyst
  • Mandatory Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and billing methodologies.
  • Epic CDM experience and Epic Hospital Billing certification.
  • Current AAPC or AHIMA certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to organize and track project-type work.

  • Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Working knowledge of
CMS/HCFA
regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
