Job Description
Busy OB/GYN practice seeking a full-time Certified Professional Coder / Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team. CPC certification preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with prior coding or medical billing experience. This position offers a 4-day work week, excellent benefits, and no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Please note:
This is an onsite position located in our office. Remote work is not available for this role. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the office each workday. Responsibilities Review, code, and submit professional claims accurately and timely Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer policies, and insurance requirements Manage claim denials, rejections, appeals, and payment posting Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and unresolved claims Work ERAs, EOBs, claim corrections, and resubmissions Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement issues Assist patients with billing questions and incoming phone calls Collaborate with providers and staff to improve billing workflows and office processes Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide support in other business office areas as needed Qualifications CPC certification preferred Previous medical coding and/or billing experience required OB/GYN coding experience preferred Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and payer-specific billing requirements Experience with authorizations, denials management, and accounts receivable follow-up Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills EMR/EHR and practice management software experience preferredJob Type:
