Collections Representative Job Overview:

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collections Representative to join our client to support mortgage servicing operations and assist customers in resolving account concerns. This remote, temp to hire opportunity is available to candidates residing in FL, TN, GA, KY, AL, OH, WV, VA, SC, MD, TX, AR, and NC. In this role, you will work directly with borrowers to address delinquency, provide account guidance, and contribute to overall customer satisfaction. This position offers hands on experience within a structured, metrics driven environment focused on accuracy and compliance.

Compensation:

$16.00 per hour

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST (Saturdays as needed) Key Responsibilities of the

Collections Representative:

Manage inbound and outbound customer interactions to address delinquent accounts, determine root causes, and guide customers toward appropriate repayment solutions Analyze financial and account information to recommend practical options while ensuring a high level of customer care during sensitive situations Maintain accurate and detailed account documentation, including updates to customer records, payment activity, and resolution notes within internal systems Support account maintenance tasks such as processing adjustments, handling refunds, and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams Escalate complex concerns to leadership while meeting performance expectations related to call volume, timelines, and service quality Qualifications and Skills for the

Collections Representative:

At least three years of experience in a customer facing role, with prior call center or collections experience strongly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn internal systems and tools with ease Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate challenging conversations and maintain professionalism Detail oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a structured, goal driven environment High school diploma required; experience with MSP systems is a plus Why Join Us?
