Patient Biller
  • General Dentistry About Us We are a locally owned general dental group practice that has proudly served the Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and West Richland communities for over 40 years.

We are excited to welcome a Patient Biller who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure accurate billing, smooth financial processes, and excellent support for both patients and our team. Position Overview We are seeking experienced Patient Billers to join our administrative team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior dental insurance verification and plan building are required. This position will begin in the office. Based on performance and proficiency, there is potential for a hybrid work schedule in the future. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate insurance verification and eligibility checks Review and interpret insurance benefits and coverage details Submit, track, and follow up on dental claims (electronic and paper) Manage accounts receivable for both insurance and patient balances Analyze aging reports and take appropriate action on outstanding accounts Conduct detailed account audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and ensure proper payment posting Handle claim denials, resubmissions, and appeals Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation of all account activity Track daily work, including accounts touched and actions taken Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, balances, and payment options Strong communication with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and obtain payments Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in dental billing, insurance verification, and accounts receivable Strong understanding of dental insurance processes and terminology Proven ability to perform account audits and resolve discrepancies Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively Experience documenting account activity thoroughly and accurately Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Customer Service & Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong patient-facing customer service experience Ability to handle sensitive financial discussions professionally and empathetically Experience communicating with insurance representatives and resolving issues Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of CDT coding and dental billing best practices Experience with insurance appeals and denial management Background in fast-paced dental or healthcare environments Schedule and Pay $20
