Position Available:
Full-Time Billing Specialist Hybrid work schedule with two in-office days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) and three remote days; additional in-office time required during onboarding and month-end activities.

2200 South State Street Suite 200 Salt Lake City, Utah 84115 Key Responsibilities Billing & Claims Management Process and track NOAs (Notice of Admission) for Home Health and NOEs (Notice of Election) for Hospice, verifying timely transmission and acceptance. Payment receiving and posting Manage patient balances and payments Assist with payer setups and rate changes Prepare, review, and submit Home Health and Hospice claims in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements. Monitor billing queues daily in systems such as WellSky , Waystar , or DDE to ensure clean claim submission. Identify, correct, and resubmit any rejected or denied claims, coordinating with the billing specialist or reimbursement team as needed. Assist in month-end closing processes, including reconciliation of billed vs. unbilled claims and preparation of aging reports. Coordination & Communication Serve as a point of contact for billing inquiries between field clinicians, intake staff, and other members of the team. Communicate professionally with patients, families, payers, and other healthcare entities regarding billing or insurance questions. Support seamless transitions of care by confirming that authorizations, NOAs, and orders are in place prior to or upon patient admission. Compliance & Record Management Maintain accurate and organized patient financial and authorization records within the EMR (e.g., WellSky Home Health/Hospice ). Ensure all documentation meets CMS, state, and payer-specific billing guidelines. Track and report compliance-related deadlines. Continuous Improvement Identify workflow bottlenecks and collaborate with leadership to improve billing turnaround times. Participate in regular billing and operations meetings to review metrics, denials, and process enhancements. Stay current on payer changes, CMS updates, and billing regulations related to Home Health and Hospice. Qualifications Previous experience in home health billing required . Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care requirements for both service lines.
Preferred:
Proficiency with EMR systems such as WellSky , and clearinghouses such as Waystar or Availity .
