$68,000•$78,000 (DOE) About the Opportunity Well-established and highly respected regional law firm, is seeking an E-Billing Specialist to join their finance team in Denver. This firm is known for its strong client relationships, collaborative culture, and work across diverse industries including energy, technology, real estate, and private equity. This is a great opportunity for a billing professional with legal industry experience to take ownership of the e-billing process and contribute to operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Position Overview The E-Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of electronic billing, including invoice submission, compliance, troubleshooting rejections, and ensuring accurate, timely delivery to clients. This role works closely with attorneys, billing teams, and client contacts to ensure smooth billing operations and adherence to client guidelines. Key Responsibilities E-Billing Submission & Processing Submit invoices via client e-billing platforms in accordance with outside counsel guidelines (OCGs) Ensure invoice accuracy, proper formatting (e.g., LEDES), and supporting documentation Track invoices from submission through acceptance Compliance & Rule Management Maintain and apply billing rules and client-specific guidelines Partner with internal teams to ensure adherence and improve first-pass acceptance rates Resolve compliance issues related to timekeeper coding, narratives, and documentation Rejections, Appeals & Issue Resolution Investigate and resolve invoice rejections, short pays, and errors Prepare and submit appeals for denied or reduced invoices Communicate trends and recommend process improvements Client & Matter Maintenance Maintain accurate client/matter data in billing platforms Update billing rates and coordinate with attorneys and clients as needed Ensure accurate contact and submission details to support successful billing Reporting & Analysis Track key billing metrics, including rejections, aging, and acceptance rates Generate reports and provide insights to improve billing efficiency Invoice Delivery & Communication Distribute invoices via email systems (e.g., BillBlast) Ensure successful delivery and maintain accurate client contact records Budgeting & Accrual Support Assist with matter budgets and accrual submissions Track and resolve budget-related rejections Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of legal billing, finance, or e-billing experience Hands-on experience with e-billing platforms and LEDES formats Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Preferred Experience with Aderant Expert and/or BillBlast Associate's degree in Accounting or related field Knowledge of legal billing structures and accounting principles Work Environment Hybrid schedule (minimum 2 days onsite in Denver office) Standard business hours, Monday-Friday Occasional overtime may be required Remote work must be conducted from a secure home office Why Apply?
