Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately billing patients and insurance companies, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records.

Duties:

• Review claims for coding accuracy
• Prepare and submit claims to various insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Utilize medical collection techniques to keep accounts receivable levels low
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information

Skills:

• Proficiency in medical coding such as ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and medical office procedures
• Experience with Medicare LCD's
• Extensive knowledge of commercial and government insurance requirements and reimbursements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
