Qualifications and Detail about the Position Broad Function The Billing Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciling, calculating and processing invoices. This position directs a team of billing clerks to accurately submit invoices to customers and ensure payment is received and cash is applied. Essential Functions Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brock's Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and submittal of invoices Act as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries, providing timely resolutions Price labor and material tickets according to contract and job set-up Read and understand Contract / P.O. - follow all contract requirements, waivers, etc. Work with operations management and project controls to ensure the capture of all possible revenue Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards and maintain accurate billing practices Supervise collections and cash app to ensure payment and proper cash applications Write up and issue client credits where needed following proper protocol Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency and accuracy and implement strategies to achieve these goals Collaborate with site personnel and management to ensure timely processing and documentation to support invoicing Build effective relationships with cross-functional teams Provide detailed reports on billing and collections activities for management review Work with customers to correct billing errors and ensure timely resolution to problems Working Conditions Working conditions include outdoor and indoor fields, yards, and shop locations Working in an office environment Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment as necessary Some travel may be required Skills & Abilities Effectively delegates work, holds employees accountable and coaches for better performance Build good working relationships with regional leaders, accounts payable and customers Strong organizational skills and attention to detail ensuring accurately maintained financial records Deadline oriented and ability to multi-task Self-motivated with strong work ethic Strong customer service skills, providing prompt and detailed responses to inquiries; ability to handle escalated, complex problems with tact Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make informed decisions on available data Proficient in Microsoft Office and ten-key Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 7+ years progressive experience in invoicing, billing, or relevant field Experience in construction-related fields is a plus
