Orthopedic Billing Specialist

We are looking for a hard working and self motivated individual to join our billing department at Texas Institute of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. We are a growing orthopedic practice that value our patients and our employees. We are looking for someone with experience in medical billing and exposure to orthopedics is preferred.

Job Duties:

Payment reconciliation Posting clinic and physical therapy charges Timely follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance carriers Reviewing and working incoming insurance correspondence including refund requests Sending appeals when appropriate or providing medical documentation for medical necessity Facilitating medical record requests for the practice Reviewing patient balances and resolving billing issues

Job Requirements:

Required:

Minimum 3 years medical billing experience

Preferred:

1-2 years Orthopedic billing experience
