In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our clients and internal departments. Your expertise in financial software, accounting principles, and data entry will support our commitment to financial accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and send invoices using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to maintain precise financial records. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage data entry tasks related to billing, payments, and account analysis with high accuracy and attention to detail. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and respond promptly to client inquiries. Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements during all billing processes. Support payroll management activities using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro when applicable. Assist in month-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries related to billing and revenue recognition. Conduct periodic reviews of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures. Contribute to budgeting and financial analysis efforts by providing accurate billing data and account insights. Requirements Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP standards. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Knowledge of payroll management systems including ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro is preferred. Strong data entry skills with proficiency in 10 key typing and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis accurately. Experience working with financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, accounts receivable/payable management. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong mathematical aptitude combined with analytical thinking for credit analysis and account analysis tasks. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and experience working within public or non-profit accounting frameworks is a plus. Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and resolving billing issues promptly.
