• person. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately billing patients and third-party payers, ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services provided. Duties
• Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Process payments from insurance companies and patients
• Resolve billing discrepancies
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues

Experience Required:

• Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG coding systems
• Experience in medical billing and collections
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and practices
