Job Description

Overview Billing Verification Specialist validates billing and insurance information to ensure accuracy before invoices are sent or payments are processed. Reviews data, reconcile discrepancies, and handle authorizations to prevent billing errors, reduce claim rejections, and resolve disputes.
Key Responsibilities Insurance Verification:
Confirming patient coverage, deductible status, and eligibility prior to rendering services
Pre-authorization & Referrals:
Obtaining and tracking required approvals from insurance providers to secure proper reimbursement.
Data Validation:
Reviewing billing codes, invoices, and client records to ensure compliance with company policies and payer regulations.
Dispute Resolution:
Communicating with insurance companies, internal departments, and patients to fix billing discrepancies or denied claims.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
A High School diploma or equivalent is the baseline, though certifications in medical coding or billing are highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in medical software, Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and customer service skills Reports to the
