In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our clients and internal departments. Your expertise in financial software, accounting principles, and data entry will drive efficiency and compliance across all billing activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization while developing your skills in corporate and governmental accounting practices. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and process invoices using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, LawPay and Clio to ensure accuracy and completeness. Utilization of best practices for A/R and communication with current and former clients. Perform account reconciliation tasks, including balance sheet reconciliation and accounts receivable/payable management, to maintain precise financial records. Manage billing data entry with high accuracy, utilizing tools like 10 key typing and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and respond promptly to client inquiries. Conduct regular account analysis and journal entries to support general ledger accounting activities aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist in audit preparations by maintaining detailed documentation of billing transactions and supporting SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance procedures. Support payroll management processes using systems like QuickBooks for seamless payroll processing and tax compliance. Requirements Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with Workday or Paychex is a plus. Solid knowledge of accounts receivable/payable processes, account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation. Familiarity with payroll management systems including ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian; experience with payroll tax procedures is desirable. Strong data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail in bookkeeping tasks. Knowledge of financial regulations such as GAAP and SOX compliance standards. Excellent analytical skills combined with a good understanding of financial software applications and technical accounting principles. Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
