Lead the Accounts Receivable unit within the Human Services Department. Manage external payer contracts, maintain financial records, analyze data, and utilize accounting software to optimize claim submissions. Communicate and present financial information effectively to small groups.SUPERVISES
Outpatient Billing Specialist Accounts Receivable Clerk State Reporting Systems ClerkRESPONSIBILITIES A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Supervise the patient accounts team to ensure accurate billing and payment processing. 2. Oversee billing procedure codes and requirements in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, ensuring compliance with ICD10, CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers. 3. Serve as technology administrator for EHR software. 4. Conduct quarterly reviews of billing codes for accuracy. 5. Ensure Quality Assurance in claim submissions and lead collaborative billing meetings. 6. Review department wide Accounts Receivable to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection activity. 7. Guide staff on third-party payer payment parameters. 8. Monitor Behavioral Health programs for compliance with Minimum Monthly Payment (MMP) Statutory Guidelines. 9. Manage provider and facility credentialing for the Human Services Department, including Norwood Health Center. 10. Research insurance payers, negotiate contracts, review agreements, and handle annual rate requests. 11. Prepare annual budget projections, focusing on revenue and contractual adjustments. 12. Analyze Insurance Contractual Allowance (C/A) data to identify financial trends. 13. Collaborate with program managers to improve workflows and resolve issues. 14. Participate in annual county-wide audits and complete cost reports. 15. Review CMS/MA fee schedule annually for billing accuracy. 16. Travel to off-site locations as required for supervisory duties. 17. Responsible to know and practice the Safety policies of the County. Perform all job tasks in a safe and prescribed manner. 18. Collaborate with Administrative Services Division Management on goals. 2. Attend monthly leadership meetings. 3. Perform supervisory duties, including hiring, training, and conducting annual performance reviews. 4. Perform other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and five years of related experience.Preferred:
