Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Division Collection Manager works to collect on outstanding customer accounts receivable balances.
JOB DUTIES
Reviews collection reports, prioritizes, and pursues assigned accounts for collections. Uses problem solving techniques to ensure payment. Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts are taken before recommending accounts to be placed with a collection agency or attorney. Identifies and prevents credit risk and receivables related loss. Evaluates customer records based on payment history and recommends that accounts are closed, credit limit reduced, or extended. Communicatees and works with branches on their Accounts Receivable balances. Manages a small team of employees. Responsible for hiring, training, development, and discipline. Assists branches as needed in using Accounts Receivable software. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and three (3) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and Access. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Excellent problem solving skills. Efficient and organized. Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail. Ability to apply a customer service oriented approach to collection management.
