at Department of Human Services in Springfield, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview Subject to the administrative approval, serves as Bureau Chief of Collection Services; executes policies to govern, manage and control the Agency’s statewide collection program. Provides direction to staff in identifying the goals and objectives of the program; including the Federal and third party payers, recipients and relatives and other receivables. Interprets Federal requirements for reimbursement staff. Initiates fiscal studies to analyze the impact of, to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of policies, techniques and legal action taken relative to collections. Performs unique specialized duties as the Agency’s spokesperson with Federal and State legislators; provides advice and consultation to agency administrative staff and or inter-agency administrative staff. Makes written summaries for administrator. Essential Functions Serves as Bureau Chief for the Bureau of Collection Services. Manages, plans, develops, supervises and participates in comprehensive fiscal studies to identify collection issues and to resolve organizational problems relative to the bureau. Serves as full-line supervisor. Directs, analyzes, and develops program studies, and in-depth financial analysis related to the various activities in the Collection Section. To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
