Job Summary We are seeking a driven, dependable, and hands-on Legal Services Manager to lead daily operations within our healthcare legal recovery team. This individual will oversee a team of up to 12 employees while helping drive productivity, accountability, performance, and operational success within a fast-paced healthcare revenue cycle environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in high-volume operations, leads by example, holds teams accountable, and is comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment. This role requires someone who is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of motivating a team while balancing operational priorities and client expectations. Candidates with prior healthcare revenue cycle management, collections leadership, legal collections, or small claims process experience are strongly preferred. This is a full-time, in-office position located in Greenwood, Indiana. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to Legal Department staff Drive accountability, productivity, attendance, and overall team performance Monitor workflow distribution, account handling, court-related processes, and operational metrics Assist in developing a positive, high-performance culture focused on results, teamwork, and professionalism Partner with leadership to improve departmental processes and operational efficiencies Conduct interviews, assist with hiring decisions, onboarding, coaching, corrective action, and performance reviews Review ongoing legal and small claims accounts while escalating concerns or trends to leadership Ensure staff are accurately documenting and handling accounts in compliance with company expectations and client requirements Run and review court reports, account status reports, and departmental productivity reporting Support training and continued development of Legal Department employees Assist with maintaining compliance related to HIPAA, FDCPA, company policies, and client expectations Maintain professionalism and composure in escalated or high-pressure situations Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Client Services, Human Resources, and other internal departments May occasionally testify in court on behalf of the company if needed Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred 3-5+ years of leadership or management experience preferred Prior experience within healthcare revenue cycle, collections, legal collections, or small claims operations strongly preferred Knowledge of healthcare collections processes, insurance workflows, and revenue cycle operations preferred Knowledge of HIPAA and FDCPA regulations required Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines Experience coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word Experience with RCM's Noble, or similar collections/legal platforms preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work fully in-office Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Is reliable, responsive, and highly accountable Takes initiative instead of waiting for direction Has a strong sense of urgency and ownership? Advice and guidance may be sought from the Senior Attorney as warranted to ensure the provision of quality service. Responsibility The employee must monitor workflow processes and procedures, answer questions from staff, review time cards, update occurrence tracker, take immediate action on any needed disciplinary action, interview potential candidates, and complete annual performance reviews. There is an extremely high degree of responsibility with this position and the impact of an error is great. Personal Work Relationships The employee must deal with a variety of staff levels, conditions and circumstances. Routine contacts are to be expected from incoming calls, outgoing calls, management, and interdepartmental associates.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
