Job Description

Sunderland City Council has an exciting opportunity for two highly motivated and experienced Recovery/Enforcement Team Leaders to lead a high-performing team responsible for maximising income collection and ensuring effective enforcement activity. In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, performance management, and operational oversight to ensure targets are met while maintaining excellent standards of customer service and compliance.
About the role:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of recovery officers and enforcement agents Oversee recovery processes, ensuring effective and timely collection Monitor team performance and implement improvements where needed Provide coaching, support, and development to team members Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures Manage complex or escalated cases and make informed decisions Analyse performance data and produce reports for senior management Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies About you: Proven experience in collections/recovery or a similar environment Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to handle sensitive cases professionally and empathetically Why join us?
