Position Summary Oversees the operations of the Stating, Cash Application and Collections department, ensuring efficient cash application processes and accurate record-keeping. Supervises and leads a team in negotiating payments, maintaining accurate records and supporting organizational financial goals. Major Tasks and Responsibilities Supervises the daily activities of the Stating, Cash Application and Collections departments providing guidance and support to team members. Oversees the cash application process to ensure timely and accurate posting of payments. Creates and updates company spreadsheets to track financial data and reporting metrics. Manages collection efforts by negotiating with past-due accounts, referring accounts to collection agencies, and conducting follow-ups to secure payments. Supervises and leads team members, promoting collaboration and performance excellence within the department. Maintains accurate records of collection activities, account statuses, and correspondence to ensure effective monitoring and reporting. Communicates work procedures and best practices to team members, fostering a clear understanding of processes and expectations. Verifies operational criteria are consistently reflected in accounts receivable functions to maintain compliance and efficiency. Provides critical insights and data to support the company's strategic goals and enhance overall collection effectiveness. Trains and mentors staff to enhance their skills and performance within the department. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting or related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
