Job Description
Role:
We're looking for a Collections Manager who acts as both a cash flow strategist and a customer experience advocate . You will proactively navigate our fast-paced SaaS ecosystem, collaborating across Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to manage the accounts receivable lifecycle. Your mission is to leverage automation to streamline operations, minimize friction and ensure that our billing processes support our commitment to long-term subscriber retention.Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Lead and mentor Collections Specialists, setting clear KPIs, providing 1:1 coaching, and refining outreach playbooks for a high-performance culture.DSO Optimization:
Develop and execute high-touch and automated strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and bad debt.Portfolio Oversight:
Manage a high-volume SaaS portfolio, ensuring timely payment of recurring subscriptions and overage fees.Cash Application:
Ensure accurate and timely application of payments (ACH, Wire, Credit Card) and perfect reconciliation between the sub-ledger and general ledger.Conflict Resolution:
Partner with Sales/Customer Success to resolve complex billing disputes while maintaining customer relationships.Feedback Loop:
Report recurring billing errors/product triggers for non-payment to Revenue Operations for root cause resolution.Data Integrity:
Maintain accurate "source of truth" data in ERP (NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and billing platforms (Stripe, Zuora).Reporting:
Prepare monthly aging reports and executive summaries on collection healthProcess Automation:
Continuously implement tools to automate dunning cycles and manual outreach.Required Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated Expertise:
Proven ability to manage B2B collections, ideally within SaaS or a Franchise-based industry. We're generally seeking 4+ years' experience.Financial Acumen:
A strong understanding of A/R processes, cash application, collections best practices, and billing systemsCommunication Excellence:
A proven ability to discuss complex six-figure financial balances with business owners and executives with professionalism and clarityAnalytical Mindset:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret contracts, terms, and conditions to resolve discrepancies.Collaborative Spirit:
A "Growth Mindset" with the ability to move projects forward in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of SaaS or subscription-based billing models and concepts like recurring revenue and churn Proficiency in ERPs (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or SAP) Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced, evolving environment Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and recommend solutions/process improvementsEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferredEssential Physical & Mental Requirements:

The annual base compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000. The reasonably estimated total cash compensation (base + variable) range for this full-time position will be $90,000 - $118,125. Actual compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to: job-related skills, qualifications, education, experience, and location. Crunchtime has a location-based compensation system, so someone doing the same job in a different city might have a different pay range.
