Position Overview As the Senior Collections Coordinator, you will report directly to the Billing Manager and play a critical role in driving the firm's financial health and cash flow optimization. You won't just be managing invoices—you will act as a strategic partner to attorneys, firm management, and clients to resolve complex accounts and accelerate the collection cycle. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnerships:
Collaborate directly with attorneys to evaluate, execute, and document effective collection strategies for high-priority and complex accounts. A/R Optimization:
Analyze firm financial reports and trends to make data-driven recommendations that improve cash flow and reduce aged receivables. Account Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for complex accounts, managing key documentation, tracking strict deadlines, and maintaining collection software. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with the Billing Manager and support teams to align billing and collections best practices, particularly during critical year-end close windows. Financial Operations Support:
Assist with broader accounting operations (Billing, Cash Receipts) and special projects as needed. Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
3 to 5+ years of dedicated Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections experience strictly within a law firm environment (Required). Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with legal accounting software such as Aderant Expert or Intapp is highly preferred. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; a proven ability to build trust with high-profile partners, attorneys, and corporate clients. Core Attributes:
