Job Description:
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Cash Collections Manager to oversee and optimize the company's accounts receivable and collections operations. This role is responsible for managing customer payment performance, reducing aging receivables, improving cash flow, and leading a collections team supporting both residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in high-volume collections environments, and the ability to build positive customer relationships while enforcing company credit and collection policies. Key Responsibilities Manage daily collections operations for residential and commercial customer accounts Oversee accounts receivable aging and implement strategies to reduce delinquency Supervise and mentor collections staff, including performance management and training Develop and maintain collection policies, procedures, and KPIs Monitor cash flow trends and provide regular reporting to senior leadership Work collaboratively with customer service, sales, and operations teams to resolve billing disputes Negotiate payment plans and settlements when appropriate Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations Analyze collection data and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities Prepare monthly reports on DSO, aging, write-offs, and collection effectiveness Manage escalated customer accounts and support retention efforts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred 5+ years of experience in collections/accounts receivable management Prior experience managing collections in a service-based or route-based business preferred Experience in waste management, utilities, transportation, or environmental services is a plus Strong knowledge of AR systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance bonus opportunity Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Career growth opportunities within a growing organization
