Collections About Us We are a fast-paced civil litigation auto subrogation law firm representing insurance carriers throughout the United States. Our team focuses on recovering outstanding balances, insurance overpayments, and subrogation claims while maintaining professionalism, compliance, and excellent client service. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Debt Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate is confident communicating with debtors, organized in managing a high-volume workload, and comfortable navigating sensitive financial conversations. Position Summary The Debt Collector will be responsible for recovering insurance company overpayments and outstanding balances nationwide. This role involves communicating with consumers, attorneys, insurance companies, and other parties to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve accounts efficiently while remaining compliant with all applicable federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Manage a high-volume portfolio of insurance overpayment collection accounts Contact consumers and third parties by phone, email, and written correspondence Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements Document all account activity accurately within internal systems Review account details and supporting documentation to identify resolution opportunities Follow all FDCPA, state, and firm compliance requirements Work closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and subrogation teams Monitor payment plans and follow up on delinquent accounts Assist with skip tracing and locating updated contact information when necessary Meet individual and team recovery goals Qualifications Previous collections experience required; legal or insurance collections preferred Experience in auto subrogation, insurance recovery, or civil litigation is a plus Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and confidently Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software, Time Matters preferred, but not required Knowledge of FDCPA and collections compliance standards preferred
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
