Direct Hire (Hybrid) Archon Resources is currently looking for a Hybrid Collections Manager that is Direct Hire to join one of our best clients located in Oklahoma City, OK . This is a Direct Hire opportunity with full benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, & 401k.
Summary:
This leadership role is responsible for protecting the organization's financial assets by overseeing delinquent accounts, driving recovery efforts, and leading a high-performing collections team. The position combines hands-on portfolio management with team leadership, vendor coordination, and strategic analysis to reduce loss exposure and improve overall portfolio performance.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management & Risk Analysis Evaluate delinquent accounts and assess borrower financial situations to determine appropriate collection strategies Initiate recovery actions, including repossession, when repayment arrangements are not successful Oversee and manage processes related to bankruptcies, foreclosures, and legal recovery efforts Monitor portfolio trends, identifying drivers of delinquency and charge-offs Provide leadership with insights into underwriting or risk trends contributing to losses, along with actionable recommendations Analyze monthly performance metrics, including loss projections and delinquency ratios, and forecast future performance Team Leadership & Operations Lead, develop, and manage collections staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development Allocate team resources to ensure operational efficiency and goal attainment Review and approve team recommendations related to account actions and recovery strategies Partner with senior leadership on vendor selection and performance to support recovery objectives Collateral Recovery & Legal Coordination Oversee repossession processes and determine appropriate next steps, including repair, investment, or liquidation strategies to maximize recovery value Ensure proper handling and documentation of bankruptcy accounts and legal files Coordinate with third-party agencies, attorneys, and other partners for escalated recovery actions Represent the organization in legal proceedings as needed Manage charge-off preparation and ensure accuracy and compliance in documentation Collaboration & Reporting Participate in cross-functional committees focused on credit risk and portfolio performance Communicate emerging trends, risks, and opportunities identified within the collections function Perform periodic quality control reviews of loan files to ensure adherence to internal standards Compliance & Additional Duties Maintain full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives
Requirements:
Experience 2-5 years of experience in collections, lending, or a related financial services function, including prior leadership or supervisory exposure Education Associate degree or completion of a relevant technical or professional program preferred Skills & Competencies Strong analytical ability with a focus on risk identification and loss mitigation Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders at various levels Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy Work Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily office-based environment with standard business equipment Regular use of computers, phones, and other office tools Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday as needed Occasional lifting of moderate weight may be required What Success Looks Like Reduction in delinquency and charge-off rates Improved recovery performance across all asset classes Strong team engagement and consistent execution of collection strategies Clear visibility into portfolio trends and proactive risk management Archon Resources is a top staffing and recruiting firm offering direct hire and contract placement in Tulsa, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Austin, and Northwest Arkansas.
