Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support a short-term Contract assignment in California. In this on-site role, you will review business insurance records, organize information across multiple sources, and apply accurate classifications using established guidelines. This position is ideal for someone who works carefully, maintains consistency in repetitive tasks, and communicates clearly when records need further review.
Responsibilities:
  • Review insurance-related business records and enter structured information into spreadsheets with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Compare details across internal platforms and documents to classify records according to defined data standards.
  • Assign categories for items such as business type, coverage details, quote progress, pricing outcomes, and deal status.
  • Document unclear or incomplete cases with concise notes and escalate them for review rather than making unsupported assumptions.
  • Maintain steady daily output while preserving data quality and adherence to project guidelines.
  • Apply updates to the labeling framework as processes evolve during the assignment.
  • Track supporting details including submitted documentation, service-related complexity, and revenue-related data points when required.
  • Collaborate with team leads and peers to ensure consistent interpretation of data rules across the project. Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data entry.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Clear written English and ability to record notes in a concise, organized manner.
  • Ability to follow structured instructions and apply standardized labeling rules consistently.
  • Reliable work habits with strong organization and time management skills.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive, process-driven tasks for extended periods.
  • Willingness to ask questions and flag uncertain records when clarification is needed.
  • Previous exposure to insurance, finance, data annotation, or document review is helpful but not required.
