Job Description

Rehabilitation Associates of Connecticut, Inc. is a Birth to Three Program providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. Our mission is to partner with families to help children reach their fullest potential in everyday life. We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Data Entry Specialist to join our collaborative and dedicated administrative team. This position plays a key role in supporting our insurance department and ensuring the accuracy of client records and claims processing. Key Responsibilities Collect and enter insurance information for new child intakes. Verify patient eligibility at intake and when insurance plans change. Obtain parent consent before entering insurance information. Enter patient data into company and state EHR systems; submit prior authorization requests as needed. Utilize payer and provider portals (e.g., PCG) to check claim status and authorizations. Submit accurate documentation, including ICD-10 codes, to insurance companies. Review denied, adjudicated, and paid claims; identify and resolve billing issues. Stay informed on Birth to Three System insurance procedures. Provide cross-coverage for other office functions and assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare, office or education industry. Proficiency with computers, inclding MS Office, especially Excel. Basic understanding of insurance plans, including mandated vs. non-mandated coverage, ERISA, HRA, HSA, and FSA. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information. Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals. High school diploma or GED required. Job Type Full-time in office.
