at Veterans In Staffing in Elmhurst, Illinois, United States Job Description This position supports document conversion services in a fast-paced production environment. Duties may vary based on service area and client requirements and may include document preparation, scanning, document classification, data entry, and quality control. No prior experience is required; training will be provided. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Document preparation includes identifying and classifying recognizable document types, orienting pages, repairing torn pages, removing staples and paper clips, unfolding corners, taping small paper fragments to larger sheets, and inserting patch sheets or barcode separator sheets between records for scanning. Scanning includes operating scanning equipment and software, processing prepared documents, performing equipment calibration and cleaning, and correcting double feeds or poor-quality images. Quality control includes reviewing 100% of scanned images to confirm legibility, completeness, correct orientation, and image quality, and rescanning documents with double feeds, folded pages, missing content, or poor image quality. Data entry includes identifying key information on documents prior to scanning and entering file names and metadata in accordance with client specifications and established naming conventions. Follow all security, confidentiality, and privacy policies, standards, and procedures to protect the information assets of both the company and its clients. Process documents accurately and within required timeframes according to job specifications and assigned priorities. Consistently meet established production quotas while maintaining high-quality work. Report project issues, document exceptions, and workflow concerns in a timely manner.
