Job Description

General Summary of Job Duties The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and transmitting data to U.S. Customs through the company's ACE portal system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and the timely processing of cargo documentation. Key duties include managing data input, verifying documentation, and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of customs submissions. The specialist will also follow up with relevant stakeholders—including carriers, agents, customs brokers, and U.S. Customs offices—regarding all ACE-related matters. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a thorough understanding of customs procedures are essential for success in this role. Specific Essential Job Duties Data entry into Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal system Monitoring of US Customs releases/dispositions Updating the Carriers, Masters and Agents of status of Data entry and US Customs releases/dispositions Communicating with Carriers, Masters and Agents for Data info Communicating with US Customs offices/US Customs Client Reps when necessary Any other work related to ACE filing or assigned by ACE Manager Abide by company HSEQ policies and procedures. Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalency required. Prior experience with ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) processes and general shipping knowledge preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with professional telephone etiquette, required Must be service-oriented with a commitment to providing timely and accurate support Demonstrated history of exemplary work performance and reliable attendance Willingness to work outside regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Competencies Demonstrated ability to read and interpret financial documents and spreadsheet Experience in adopting and implementing best business practices in a fast-paced setting Demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve results Strong interpersonal and communications skills Able to prioritize and focus on appropriate tasks Works well under pressure and tight deadlines Works effectively in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment, and can direct and work in harmony with a diverse group of highly motivated and capable individuals Not all aspects of the job are covered by the descriptions, other duties may be required Position may change as industry and technology evolve
