Schedule:
Flexible schedule, 4-36 hours per week based on business needs. Summary Statement The Caging Technician is responsible for processing high volumes of incoming mail and extracting payments for organizational deposit. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in counting, opening, categorizing mail, and performing accurate data entry while maintaining organized records of all payments and correspondence received. The technician must maintain the highest standards of security and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Job Requirements Operate mail counting and opening equipment to process daily incoming correspondence efficiently and accurately Extract payments from incoming mail and perform precise data entry of payment information into designated systems Organize and prepare extracted payments for processing according to established procedures Maintain organized records and retention items to provide to the In-bound/Out-bound Specialist for proper filing Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent recommended Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy while processing high volumes of mail Proficient computer skills and demonstrated typing accuracy, experience with data entry preferred Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and maintain security protocols for donor and client data Working Conditions This position is performed in an office environment and requires extended periods of standing and sitting while operating mail processing equipment. The role involves repetitive motions associated with opening mail and data entry, as well as lifting and moving mail containers weighing up to 25 pounds. Work is performed during regular business hours with consistent daily workflow.
