We are currently hiring a Data Specialist —a critical role that supports patient care by ensuring clean, accurate, and reliable data across multiple departments. This position also includes daily, monthly, and yearly reporting responsibilities to help leadership track performance, trends, and operational needs. Position Overview The Data Specialist is responsible for reviewing, entering, verifying, and maintaining patient data, including demographic and insurance information. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce regular data reports for management . You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and support organizational decision-making through consistent reporting. Responsibilities Review, verify, and enter patient demographic and insurance information Maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across multiple systems Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies Prepare and deliver daily, monthly, and yearly reports to management Analyze data trends and highlight discrepancies or areas needing attention Collaborate with front desk, billing, clinical, and administrative teams Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and internal data quality protocols Support reporting and analysis needs by maintaining clean datasets Qualifications Experience in a medical office or healthcare environment preferred Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple systems and high-volume data Experience with data reporting or analytics is a plus Familiarity with insurance verification or medical billing a plus Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work both independently and collaboratively High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Proven experience in data entry, administrative support, or similar roles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Workspace Strong typing skills (minimum 50 WPM with high accuracy) Ability to meet tight deadlines Why Join Mosaic Diagnostics?
