Data Entry Associate

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for processing and managing all aspects of accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial operations, support compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our financial processes. Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders with precision and attention to detail. Ensure all payments are made accurately and in accordance with company policies, including adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards. Reconcile vendor statements and perform account reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate records. Utilize accounting software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft to record transactions and generate reports. Manage data entry tasks related to accounts payable, ensuring accuracy in debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger postings. Assist with month-end closing activities, including account analysis and financial reporting related to payables. Collaborate with the human resources team on benefits administration and payroll management using systems like ADP or UltiPro. Support internal audits by providing documentation for accounts payable transactions and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment records. Proven experience in accounts payable functions within a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and journal entries. Familiarity with accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or UltiPro is highly preferred. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal controls related to accounts payable processes. Experience working with payroll management systems like ADP or Kronos is a plus. Ability to perform detailed analysis skills for account reconciliation and data validation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in data entry tasks like 10 key typing. Basic understanding of governmental accounting or non-profit accounting practices is advantageous but not required.
