Accounting Data Entry ClerkLOCATION

Temporary Assignment, PAY RATE:
$19.74 Position Summary The Accounting Data Entry Clerk supports day-to-day accounting operations by processing payments, entering financial data, and keeping records accurate and organized. This is an entry-level accounting role focused on routine tasks such as handling invoices, posting transactions, balancing receipts, and assisting with basic reconciliations. Employees in this position follow established procedures and work closely with supervisors for guidance and support. Success in this role requires attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and comfort using spreadsheets and accounting software. Key Responsibilities Receive payments, issue receipts, and enter transactions into accounting records or spreadsheets Balance daily cash receipts and deposits Review vendor invoices and payment paperwork for accuracy and completeness Confirm approvals and correct accounting codes before processing payments Enter billing information into the system to generate electronic invoices Track accounts receivable using spreadsheets and accounting software Research and resolve payment discrepancies or unidentified transactions Reconcile bank statements with department payment and deposit records Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation Assist with other clerical and accounting support duties as needed Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required Knowledge Basic understanding of accounting procedures and terminology Familiarity with bookkeeping or budgeting processes Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, and accounting software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and data entry skills Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines Abilities Ability to follow clear procedures to locate, enter, retrieve, and correct routine information Ability to maintain accurate financial records and work with confidential information Work Environment This role is primarily office-based and involves working with financial records, spreadsheets, and accounting systems on a daily basis. #INDP Pay:
