Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Blood Donation Data Entry Specialist to join our dedicated team. Blood Donation Data Entry Specialist reports to the Donor Collections Manager. The position encompasses both technical and administrative areas. He or she must be thoroughly knowledgeable in Donor Screening and Phlebotomy, including knowledge of QNS's, phlebotomy equipment, and any other items that may need to be addressed or corrected in order for batch release to occur.

Excellent organizational skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Previous experience in the medical field is preferred.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Handles all aspects of donor history questionnaire review - including completion and correctness, permitting release of products. a. Communicates daily with Lab staff, including discussions on quarantines and discarded components. b. Contact Community Blood Bank staff and donors as needed to resolve any issues. c. Print and review all reports listed on the Questionnaire, Daily Quality Control and Batch Release form, as well as any other report needed to accurately complete card review and batch release. d. Completes batch release before leaving each day. e. Complete proper documentation of DIRs from errors discovered during donor history questionnaire review. f. Complete preparation and distribution of monthly binders for all mobile drives. 2. Performs other related duties as assigned by CBB or as may be required to meet emergency situations. Language Skills Ability to effectively present information to top management, Lab personnel and QA Department. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in scientific or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Hours:
Tuesday-Friday 7AM-3PM, Saturday 8AM-1
PM Pay & Benefits:
