30-40 hrs per week expected (PST) Assignment length 3 month contract Job description HireArt is helping its client find Data Collection Moderators to support in-home video data collection projects. In this role, you'll visit participants' homes, guide them through structured recording sessions, and ensure high-quality data is captured and delivered according to project standards. This is a hands-on, independent role that combines light participant coordination with a strong focus on setup, execution, and quality control. You'll be responsible for managing the full on-site experience—from equipment setup through data upload—while following clear guidelines. What You'll Do Travel to participant homes (Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Renton, Tacoma, Federal Way, and surrounding areas) to conduct in-home video data collection sessions. Set up and manage recording equipment, guiding participants through simple, structured activities based on project guidelines. Lead participants through the session from start to finish, ensuring they understand the process and feel supported throughout. Perform on-site quality checks and review collected data to confirm accuracy and completeness before upload. Troubleshoot basic technical issues, manage equipment inventory, and ensure all data is properly stored and submitted. Requirements Comfortable working with and troubleshooting audio/video recording technology Access to a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to participant homes High-speed mobile internet connection Comfortable interacting with the public in a professional, guided setting Able to quickly learn new processes and clearly explain them to others Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions closely Able to work independently outside of a traditional office environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 tools Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Commitment:
This is a three-month, independent contractor position staffed via HireArt. The role is remote and open to candidates local to the Greater Seattle, WA area who can travel within Washington state.
