Job Description - Data Entry Specialist Key Responsibilities Track and process change requests and doctor selection forms received through the member portal and system queues. Process provider termination requests by initiating membership moves and termination letters. Manually assign providers for members unable to use the auto‑assignment system. Identify and report errors in provider selections made by call center representatives. Retrieve and process returned mail and fax requests . Handle provider disenrollment requests in compliance with regulations and business rules.

Education & Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of data entry or general office experience.

Preferred:

Recent healthcare or health plan experience. Skills & Qualifications Documentation & time management skills. Microsoft Word & Excel proficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to accurately document and record member/provider information. Typing speed of 40+ WPM (typing test required).

Schedule & Training Training:

M-F, 6 AM-7 PM PST

(2-4 weeks, one‑on‑one). No time off permitted during training.

Work Hours:

M-F, 8 AM-5 PM PST.

Overtime or Saturday shifts may be available based on workload but are not mandated. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
