Pay Rate:
Up to $12.00 per hour Position Summary The Data Entry Clerk will support the Global Film & TV Administration team within UMG Publishing by entering, reviewing, and maintaining copyright and music-related data in company databases. This role will focus on processing music cue sheets for film and television productions, ensuring accurate documentation of song ownership, writers, usage information, and publishing rights. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for an organized, detail-oriented individual with strong data entry skills and an interest in the music and entertainment industry. The successful candidate will work closely with coordinators and team leads while learning the processes involved in music copyright administration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enter copyright and music ownership information accurately into internal databases.
  • Review and process music cue sheets for film and television projects.
  • Collect, organize, standardize, and maintain data related to songs, writers, publishers, ownership, and usage details.
  • Identify music controlled by UMG Publishing and ensure proper registration and documentation.
  • Verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies or missing information.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates on data processing activities.
  • Identify issues requiring additional support and communicate findings to management.
  • Collaborate with coordinators, team leads, and department members to complete daily assignments.
  • Assist with other administrative and data-related projects as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous data entry experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while working with large amounts of information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including: o Microsoft Excel o Word o Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data manipulation.
  • Experience working with databases or data management systems.
  • Familiarity with Adobe products is a plus.
  • Previous exposure to music, entertainment, publishing, or copyright administration is preferred but not required. Additional Details
  • Training will be provided on music cue sheet processing, copyright research, and internal systems.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with detailed information and repetitive data entry tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • An Excel skills assessment may be administered during the interview process.
