Job Description

Position Overview Portland Veterinary Medical Association is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Veterinary Data Entry Specialist to support the accurate management of veterinary records and administrative data. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for entering, maintaining, and verifying information related to veterinary practices, patient records, membership databases, licensing information, and organizational operations. The ideal candidate has strong data management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an interest in supporting the veterinary healthcare community. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter and update veterinary, membership, and administrative records in company databases. Review veterinary documentation, forms, and records for accuracy and completeness. Maintain databases containing clinic, practitioner, licensing, certification, and patient-related information. Verify data accuracy and correct discrepancies when identified. Organize and maintain electronic files and confidential records. Generate reports and assist with data audits to ensure compliance and data integrity. Collaborate with veterinary clinics, association members, and internal departments regarding record updates. Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and data protection standards. Meet established productivity and quality benchmarks while working remotely. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. Previous experience in data entry, healthcare administration, veterinary administration, or medical records management preferred. Familiarity with veterinary terminology is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. Strong typing skills with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly. Reliable internet connection and dedicated home office environment.
Pay:
$25.20 per hour
